Our first Puppy Yoga at Paws On Tap is officially in the books—and it was every bit as fun and chaotic as we hoped!
On Sunday, August 9, Paws On Tap partnered with Rise Yoga for a special beginner-friendly yoga class filled with yoga mats, happy participants, adorable puppies, and plenty of puppy cuddles.
And then there was one guest who clearly misunderstood the assignment.
Yes… we had a goat kid crash Puppy Yoga.
The goal was simple: relax, stretch, recharge, and enjoy some quality time with adorable puppies.
In reality? The puppies had their own agenda.
Between cuddles, puppy playtime, curious noses, and four-legged interruptions, we’re not entirely sure how much actual yoga happened. But we’re pretty sure everyone left with a smile.
After the class, guests had even more time to cuddle with the puppies and enjoy a $5 voucher toward food or drinks at Paws On Tap.
And, of course, our unexpected goat guest made the morning even more memorable.
While Puppy Yoga was all about having fun, there was an even more important reason behind the event.
Proceeds from the event helped support the Humane Society for Boone County, contributing to the important work they do for animals in our community.
It was a wonderful way to bring people, pets, and our community together while supporting a cause that helps animals find the care and homes they deserve.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, rolled out a yoga mat, cuddled a puppy (or a goat!), and helped make our first Puppy Yoga event such a memorable Sunday morning.
And, of course, thank you to Rise Yoga and the Humane Society for Boone County for partnering with us to make it happen.
Based on the amount of actual yoga that occurred, we’re not entirely sure “yoga” was the puppies’ top priority.
But one thing is certain…
Our first Puppy Yoga may be officially in the books, but this definitely won’t be the last time you see puppies taking over Paws On Tap.
Stay tuned for upcoming Puppy Yoga events! Grab your yoga mat, bring your love for animals, and get ready for another morning of stretching, sipping, snuggling, and probably a little less yoga than advertised.
Because at Paws On Tap, you never know who—or what—might show up to class.
